I challenged myself to go on a 60 hours reboot

Yes. You read that right.

I fasted for a total of 60 hours.

Not mindlessly. Or doing it in a way that it will cause harm to my body and health.

I did the 60 hours Reboot challenge together with the Prüvit community in Singapore.

And this was the first time that we did a campaign collectively together with the other rebooters in the community.

We hosted live session on Telegram to share tips and tricks to rebooters who are doing for the first time and also as a refresher for seasoned rebooters.

Every night from Friday leading up to the global reboot date with the Prüvit nation, we did live sessions on Telegram and I stepped up to host some of the sessions.

What a feeling it was. That I used to be the one who had always been receiving from the community and that it's time now for me to give back.

And we managed to get one of our favorite Keto coach all the way from US to share with us tips and tricks to doing this reboot. And it's further supplemented by our Keto coach in Singapore!

I love how everyone just cheered each other on when it was getting tough to push on.

So... here's sharing how my 60 hours went for this reboot.

DAY ONE

All's well when I started the fast but the hunger pangs started kicking in from the 15th hour onwards.

But it subsided eventually when I started hydrating myself.

Also, did you know that sometimes when you feel hunger and you have the urge to eat, it's actually your body telling you that it's dehydrated?

So next time before you reach for that cookie or snack, try drinking water and see/feel the magic happen.

I wasn't very bothered by the hunger pangs but I was bothered by the burping. I was burping A LOT.

Also, super productive... worked for a straight I-forgot-how-many-hours and only reach home at close to 4am.

DAY TWO

This is usually the day where I will get a burst of energy because I've transition into a heavy ketosis state; which means my body is mainly burning fat for the fuel to sustain my body' activities. I hope the below image helps explain what being in heavy ketosis means.

No hunger pangs at all but oh my, my hands and feet were suuuuuuuper chilly.

And that's also because my body knows that I'm running low on glycogen and it's storing them to sustain the energy in me.

DAY THREE

Came the day for braking fast! I breezed through this reboot without much of a struggle.

And I think going low carb before that really helped a lot.

Did a wrap up Telegram live with everyone in the community and I cannot say how proud I am for everyone who have persevered on and completed the challenge.

I was glad that I completed the reboot at 63 hours. While mainly because I woke up just in time for the live and I didn't had time to break my fast before that.

Overall, I felt cleaner and my focus was definitely better.

And of course, my body shrunk from all the releasing of water retention in my body.

I really love that I could have that control over myself to allow my gut to rest and that my body can perform self detoxification on its own.

Nothing externals or chemically made. Just my body doing what it needs to do, naturally.

And here's my results!

For the record, this is my 16th reboot (:

And every reboot is soooooo different for me.

There are some reboot where I don't see any significant changes in me.

And that's okay! Because we are only human.

So if this post has got you thinking if you should be taking up the challenge, well... why not?

Join me next time and you can find out how long you can last through the fast!
